Wellington County OPP are investigating after a worker was seriously injured in Arthur.
On September 9, 2020, at 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a serious workplace injury at a construction site on Schmidt Drive, in Arthur. The initial report said a 24-year-old worker from Woodstock, Ontario was working on a piece of heavy machinery when they were struck in the head by a large steel bolt.
Guelph-Wellington Paramedics Services attended the scene and treated the patient, who was taken to a local hospital and then a trauma centre with serious injuries.
The Ministry of Labour is now investigating the incident.
