Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MP Alex Ruff says he’s honoured and humbled to be appointed as Deputy Opposition Whip in Conservative Party Leader Erin O’Toole’s Shadow Cabinet.

The Deputy Opposition Whip assists the Chief Opposition Whip (Blake Richard, MP for Banff-Airdrie, Alberta) to ensure fellow party legislators attend voting sessions and vote according to party policy.

In a statement, Ruff says he’s impressed with the team that O’Toole has assembled, noting they are all dedicated and professional, and with a quote-“array of experience, diversity and expertise”.

Ruff also said he’s proud to be a part of this team, and that he looks forward to working with his caucus colleagues on behalf of the constituents of his riding, and all Canadians.
