Local residents convert old Zurich building into storage facility

Zurich residents Dale and Shelley Miller have rescued an old and storied building in the village.

Dale Miller said he knew it needed to be used for something or at some point

“I saw the building sitting there and I knew it needed to be used for some purpose at some point, otherwise it would've been torn down and it would have been just another empty lot in Zurich, is what it would have been. So I was hoping to bring new small businesses into town.”

But until that happens, the building, just off the main intersection, is the new home of Miller's Self Storage.

Miller said it's set up perfectly for someone like himself.

“It's set up perfectly for somebody like myself running an electrical business or a plumbing business or even somebody that was doing storage or, say they were moving. I even have a person in there that delivers candy and chocolate bars and stock to different places around, so he stores that product in the building.”

Miller said they have seven units 1,200 to 1,300 square foot units in the building and each one has in-floor heat and hydro and three of the units are still available.

Miller says anyone who's looking for storage space or someplace where they could set up a small business can call him at 519-476-5911.
