OPP investigating after fatal crash in Central Huron claims one life

Huron County OPP are investigating a recent single-vehicle crash in Central Huron that has claimed one life.

On Sunday, police were contacted by concerned family members when the victim failed to return home after working late in the fields. Later that day at 12:30 p.m., the victim's vehicle was found upside down and partially submerged in a creek off of the roadway on Bandon Line, in the Municipality of Central Huron.

Clayton Riley, 67, of Seaforth was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time of the collision. Officers attempted to perform life-saving measures on the Riley, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team are assisting with the collision investigation. Huron County OPP would like anyone with any information regarding this fatal crash to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
