Brockton to host virtual Canada Day celebration

The municipality of Brockton will be hosting a virtual Canada Day celebration this year.

The municipality said on Monday that council approved a motion to go forward with a virtual Canada Day for this year in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Brockton has partnered with the Walkerton Rotary Club and Wightman to broadcast the celebration on July 1, which will include a community celebration video, a community moment uniting neighbourhoods while singing the National anthem, and a virtual fireworks display.

Residents are encouraged to submit photos or video clips to be part of the community video. You can submit photos or video clips until June 17, and email them to recreation@brockton.ca.
