Listowel BIA postpones 'Win This Space 2020'

The Listowel BIA has made the difficult decision to postpone this year's Win This Space contest.

In a release, Listowel BIA Coordinator Lisa Schaefer said the decision was made in the best interest of the entire community.

“The health and well-being of our community remains our top priority as we navigate through the rapidly changing landscape due to COVID-19,” said Schaefer. “At the same time, we are very aware that during this time of uncertainty, the impact on the local economy will be significant. With that in mind, we feel that now is the time to support our current businesses. Supporting local during this time is more than a good idea, it is a necessity to keep our community prosperous today and in the future.”

The Listowel BIA will determine at a later date when it is best to relaunch the Win This Space competition, which awards a prime business space to a new local business in the Listowel downtown core.

The new businesses also receive business training and advertising packages among many other startup perks.
