Changes coming for Roll Up The Rim contest

Tim Hortons is revamping the Roll Up The Rim contest.

Canada's national coffee chain announcing on Wednesday that this year's annual game begins on March 11 and will feature four weeks to play, but will now allow for "digital and sustainable play" for its 35th anniversary.

For the first two weeks, paper cups with the roll-up tab will be available, but only as long as supplies last. During this time, Tims Reward members also get a bonus roll in the app, giving them two chances to play.

After that, the contest will be available only on the mobile app.

Prizes in this year's contest include: Over 17 million coffee and food prizes, including Dream Donuts 45,000 $25 TimCards 200 Samsung 55" NU6900 Smart 4K UHD TVs 150 $1,000 CIBC Prepaid Cards 100 40,000 AIR MILES Reward Miles – enough for a trip for two 10 2020 Hyundai IONIQ Electric or Hybrid Vehicles Four draws of $100,000 (NEW) The dreaded Please Play Again is being replaced with four $100,000 draws.

Tims also said beginning on March 10, the company will give away up to 1.8 million reusable hot beverage cups, which is "part of the company's commitment to change habits towards reusable cups."
