GRCA issue flood warning for entire watershed

The Grand River Conservation Authority is issuing a flood warning for the entire Grand River region.

The GRCA said in a release this afternoon that portions of the watershed received up to 100 millimetres of rain over the weekend, and that has caused river flows to peak in some areas of the watershed. The conservation that many trees and branches were swept into the river during the weekend storm, which is causing additional hazards in the waterways.

The GRCA also said that the public should refrain from approaching any waterway during this time. The flood warning will remain in effect until this Wednesday, January 15.
