The arrest of a Kincardine man earlier this week is now the subject of a probe by the province's Special Investigations Unit.
On Monday night, the South Bruce OPP detachment received a report of an intoxicated person causing property damage and disturbance in Ripley. Witnesses detained the individual until officers arrived and took him into custody.
A 21-year-old Kincardine man was charged with causing a disturbance, uttering threats, resisting peace officer, assaulting police, and four counts of breach of probation.
The accused was later transported to hospital for medical assessment for a reported injury.
The OPP notified the Special Investigations Unit, which has invoked its mandate and investigating the circumstances of the arrest.
No further details have been released at this time.
