Police arrest wanted male in possession of stolen property, drugs

Huron County OPP arrested a wanted man this morning in Wingham.

At 3:16 a.m. Thursday morning, patrolling officers spotted a male sleeping in the laundromat located on Josephine Street. Officers approached the man and arrested him for an outstanding bench warrant.

A subsequent search revealed the man was allegedly in possession of suspected methamphetamine, break-in tools and stolen property which included ignition keys, jewellery and coins.

As a result, the 27-year-old from South Bruce was charged with multiple offences, and has been released with a scheduled court hearing for January 20 in Goderich.
