UPDATE: Victim identified in fatal four-vehicle collision north of Brussels
A multi-vehicle collision north of Brussels Thursday night claimed the life of one person.
Around 8 p.m., Huron County Paramedic Services, the OPP, and Huron East Fire Department responded to a four-vehicle crash at the Jamestown Bridge on Brussels Line.
A passenger of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased has been identified as 62-year-old Jamie Hill of Sauble Beach. A driver from the same vehicle was rushed to hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries.
Three others involved in the crash have since been released from hospital.
Members from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement Team are assisting with the collision investigation.
Brussels Line was closed all night between Amberley Road and Browntown Road. Jamestown Road was also closed between McDonald Line and Ramsay Line.
Those roads re-opened early Friday morning.
