Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey is one step closer to meeting this year’s financial requirements.

McDougall Energy has made a $7500 donation to the Kincardine centre.

The donation will support programs and services that help run the shelter and provide a safe haven for victims and survivors in the region.

During the last fiscal year, Women’s House served 783 individual women and 194 children and responded to 8,602 crisis, support, and advocacy calls.

“Women’s House has been an incredible source of support, advocacy, and inspiration to women and children in the Grey Bruce area,” said Kevin Muir, territory manager for McDougall Energy.    “We believe that ending violence is a community responsibility, and McDougall Energy proudly supports Women’s House efforts towards ending violence and creating positive change.”

“Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey is extremely thankful for the generosity of McDougall Energy,” said Michelle Lamont, community and fund development coordinator, Women’s House.    “Their support will help us to continue to provide the vital programs and services that help to improve the lives of the women and children that knock on our doors every day.”

McDougall Energy is a Canadian family business, which has been serving customers for over 70 years. It’s a marketer and distributor of heating oil, propane, gasoline, diesel fuel and commercial lubricants, as well as an Esso-branded retailer.
