Hanover Air Cadets take in lecture from military historian

A Canadian Military History author stopped by Hanover's Civic Centre to discuss his new book, and connect with local air cadets on a more personal level.

Ted Barris, best known for "Dam Busters: Canadian Airmen and the Secret Raid Against Nazi Germany" which details Operation Chastise, spoke to a crowd, including approximately 40 air cadets on Tuesday, focusing on the life of medics during wartime.

Barris discussed his father's experience in the Second World War as well as several medics portrayed in popular media, including Eugene Rowe and Edith Cavell.

Barris was promoting his new book "Rush to Danger: Medics in the Line of Fire", which is available in book stores and online.
