OPP say they have a suspect in fail-to-remain incident near Tiverton

Ontario Provincial Police say they are investigating a fail-to-remain incident near Tiverton which left a cyclist injured.

South Bruce OPP say it happened Friday morning around 6 a.m. on Bruce County Road 33.

Officers say they found a 58-year-old Port Elgin man injured when they arrived at the scene, he was transported by air ambulance to a regional hospital.

Investigators say the victim was traveling southbound when he was hit by a pickup truck that was traveling in the same direction, noting the pickup truck failed to remain at the scene of the crash, however they say they have been able to identify the driver and charges are pending.
