Stolen vehicle found torched in Glenelg field

A vehicle stolen Monday night in the township of Glenelg was found on fire near Irish Lake Tuesday afternoon.

West Grey police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle early on Tuesday that had been stolen from a residence the night before.

At around 1 p.m., police received a report of a vehicle on fire in a field on Concession 6 in Glenelg, which turned out to be the vehicle that had been reported stolen.

Firefighters out of Markdale attended to find the vehicle had been completely consumed by fire.
