South Bruce Peninsula man facing 14 driving related offenses

A South Bruce Peninsula man is facing more than 14 Highway Traffic Act offenses after he allegedly drove through a stop sign.

Grey Bruce OPP said an officer on patrol in Wiarton last night around 7:50 p.m. saw a van commit multiple Highway Traffic Act violations while following the vehicle.

When the driver was pulled over, police said he didn't have the necessary documents for the vehicle and didn't produce a driver's license. It turned out, he was suspended from driving.

A 31-year-old man is charged with various offenses including three counts of operating a motor vehicle while prohibited, resisting a peace officer, driving with open liquor and two counts of failing to stop for a stop sign.
