Heading to Cowbell? Why not charter a helicopter?

There's going to be a lot more helicopter traffic in Blyth starting today.

Cowbell Brewing and Great Lakes Helicopter are partnering to offer charter flight packages from Grand Bend to the "farm" south of Blyth.

Cowbell Chief Development Officer Grant Sparling says it was Great Lakes Helicopters that approached them with the idea.

"It was unlike anything we had ever hear of and it sounded pretty exciting."

Great Lakes Helicopters is a Transport Canada approved, Ontario Private Career College Flight Training School and charter company. They are are based out of the Region of Waterloo International Airport in Breslau.

In a release, owner of Great Lake Helicopter, Bill Leyburne says, "our two local companies are working together to create memorable experiences for every Cowbell guest, whether they live down the road or half-way around the world!"

The joint release from the two companies states: "Helicopter flights will be available for custom charters, and scheduled flights. Helicopters will vary from 3 passenger to 6 passenger machines, with custom flight packages beginning at $75.00 per person. Tickets from Grand Bend to Cowbell and return will start at $299.00 per person."

Sparling says to book your package you can contact Great Lakes Helicopter directly and they will work with Cowbell to co-ordinate tours, dinner, etc.
