ABCA set to host 30th Conservation Foundation dinner

The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Foundation, in partnership with the Exeter Lions, will be hosting the annual Conservation Dinner next Thursday at the South Huron Rec. Centre.

Communications Specialist Tim Cumming said over the years the event has been a major fund-raiser for local projects throughout the Ausable Bayfield Watershed and has raised over $1.1 million over the past 29 years.

Cumming said the foundation is marking its 30th anniversary by inviting back the featured artists of the last 29 years. Cumming said each year a local artist is featured at the Conservation Dinner and this year the committee wanted to invite them back for the 30th anniversary.

Cumming said not all of them are able to attend but many of them will be there at the South Huron Rec. Centre to help mark the 30th anniversary.

Tickets can be obtained through the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority and more information can be found on their website.

“Every year there's a feature artist at the Conservation Dinner. Not all the feature artists are able to return, but several of the former feature artists are returning for the 30th Conservation Dinner Gala Charity Auction and that's exciting," said Cumming.
