The Bayfield Agricultural Society continues it's fundraising for a new building on the fairgrounds, behind the arena.
President Stephen Jacob explained the project at Monday night's Central Huron council meeting.
Jacob said they're hoping to replace a 30-by-30 building that is well past it's prime. They have to replace the building because they are not able to get grants to repair.
The new building will be on the same footprint as the old one and they have a budget of about $85,000.
They are down to the last quarter of that goal, and hope to have the building finished by late winter.
Jacob added items and documents owned by the Ag. Society are in homes scattered throughout the community and they would like to bring them into one building where they will be secure and where everyone knows where they are.
