Members of the Goderich Downtown BIA are exploring solutions to the longstanding parking problems on the Square.
BIA Co-Chair Elizabeth van den Broeck said the challenge is finding a balance between having parking for tourists and shoppers and providing full-day parking for staff.
"They want to be accessible to our tourism industry, but we need to be mindful also of the full-time businesses and staff that use parking all day when we do have plenty of lots available for full day parking.," said van den Broeck.
Van den Broeck says they've formed a sub-committee to conduct a review of all of the downtown Goderich businesses and staff to see what the general consensus.
From that information, the BIA will make recommendations to council.
