United Way's Hope Squared Tour through Huron-Perth

The Perth-Huron's United Way Hope Squared Tour made a stop at Scotiabank in Goderich Thursday.

Campaign Co-Chair Martin Ritsma says Scotiabank has been a great partner with the United Way.

"What Scotiabank does is match the dollars that come in between the time period of December 3 and today and they will match up to fifteen-thousand dollars and they've been a great donor, a great supporter," said Ritsma. "This is our eighth year, formally Caravan of Hope and this year Hope Squared."

In Goderich, cheques were presented by representatives from Town of Goderich, Compass Minerals and the County of Huron who ran workplace campaigns.

The United Way is supporting 48 organizations across Huron and Perth this year that provide services like women's shelters, food banks and mental health support.

Ritsma says their fundraising goal this year is just over $1.466 million.
