Dave Trumble wins national Service to Safety Award

A prominent member of the Grey Bruce Labour Council has been recognized by his peers.

Dave Trumble has been awarded the Distinguished Service to Safety Award by the National Safety Council.

Trumble has been a Power Workers’ Union delegate to the Grey Bruce Labour Council for more than 30 years. He's been a trade union activist for more than 40 years.

Trumble was nominated by the NSC Labour Division, the Grey Bruce Labour Council, the Power Workers’ Union and the Canadian Nuclear Workers’ Council.

The DSSA is the highest honour bestowed on a safety professional by the NSC. The award recognizes exemplary efforts and success in improving safety and health at work, on the road, and in the home and community.

The Grey Bruce Labour Council has been the voice of workers in Grey and Bruce Counties for over 60 years and is made up of private and public sector unions that represent thousands of workers across the region.
