The South Bruce Grey Health Centre board of directors is getting closer to hiring a new president and CEO.
Board Chair Larry Allison said they struck a recruitment committee shortly after Paul Rosebush tendered his resignation from the post this past June.
He said a recruitment consultant has been interviewing candidates from across the country, and are starting to narrow the search toward finding their preferred candidate.
"The recruitment task force has gone through round-one interviews and is now in the process of short-listing and dealing with a smaller number of candidates in terms of round two," said Allison. "We hope to have a recommendation to the board in the coming number of weeks."
Allison added the hospital corporation, which serves Kincardine, Walkerton, Chesley and Durham, has been well-served by Michael Barrett, who has been handling the CEO duties on an interim basis since August.
