Wisdom opened the scoring late in the second and Neumann's first of the game with just 18 seconds left in the middle frame put the Frontenacs up 2-0 heading into the third.

Hugg scored before the midway point of the final frame to put the Rangers within a point. Neumann scored again making it 3-1. The Rangers pulled Richardson from the net with just over two minutes left and Neumann scored again, forcing the Rangers to return their netminder to the crease.
