Same team ready to lead Central Huron council

The mayor of Central Huron says the fact that all seven councillors who ran for re-election in the fall won their seats, says a lot about the confidence the community has in this team.

Jim Ginn said it makes it easier to continue to work together going forward because they can get on with business without having to bring people up to speed.

Ginn also pointed to a couple of investments council made in the last term, including the solar panels on the Reach Centre and the community centre.

"They're bringing a very large source of revenue to the municipality that displaces some dollars that would have to be raised through taxation," he said. "Some of the other ones that I was quite happy with, Windmill Lake, the purchase of a gravel pit that we just bought, we think that that's going to pay off in spades for future councils."
