PJHL Wrap: Ironmen, Hawks and Dolphin all Win

Wingham 6 Kincardine 3

The Wingham Ironmen rallied from a two goal deficit to beat Kincardine 6-3.

Ethan Long scored early in the first and Joshua Traynor notched a power play goal just past the midway point to give the Bulldogs the lead. Wingham's Jamie Huber answered for the Ironmen on the power play with just over three minutes left in the opening frame and Rhys Vollmer scored with just under a minute remaining to tie the game heading into the second.

Hayden Robinson opened the scoring for the Ironmen at 8:15 of the second. Carter Callinson made it 4-2 Wingham at 12:48 and Huber scored his second of the game at 17:32 to give the Ironmen a 5-2 lead. Jordan Caskenette answered for the Bulldogs at 19:58 of the middle frame.

Shane Vollmer was the only player to score in the third, on an empty Bulldogs net at 19:21 of the third.

The Ironmen now have a three point lead in the Pollock Division with 22 to the Bulldogs 19.

Mitchell 9 Goderich 6

Jarrett Bogdon struck twice and Braeden Brudett scored and set up two more as the Mitchell Hawks defeated Goderich 9-6.

After trading goals in the first period, Mitchell scored three times back-to-back in just over a two minute span in the second to put the Flyers down 5-2. Riley Conners narrowed the gap for Goderich, unassisted at 5:44 of the second. Bogdon scored his second of the period with six minutes left in the frame to make it 6-3 Mitchell. Chase Meurs scored for the Flyers less than two minutes later to narrow the deficit to two goals heading into the third.

Eric Vander Eyk's power play goal just 36 seconds into the third put the Flyers to within a point but Eric Rolph and Max Hall would score for Mitchell, making it 8-5. Vander Eyk scored again on the power play but that was as close as Goderich would come to tying the game. Jake Finlayson was the final scorer for the Hawks at 17:49.

Zach Weber earned the win in net for Mitchell, stopping 36 shots. Kyle Dunlap made 22 saves for Goderich.

Dorchester 8 Exeter 5

Noah Blewett struck twice and set up another as Dorchester topped Exeter 8-5.

Dylan Buckholz also had a three point night with a goal and three assists.

The Hawks were led by Jon Baker with a goal and two helpers. Ian Vandenheuvel scored and had an assist for Exeter.

The Hawks were out shot 48-35.
