GOJHL Wrap: Rockets no match for Lincolns power play

Listowel 5 Brantford 2

Holdyn Lansink and Chayse Herrfort each struck twice and had two assists in the Listowel Cyclones 5-2 win over Brantford.

Brayden Krieger earned three points with three helpers in the win. Bryce McFadden also scored for the Cyclones.

Riley McCabe earned the victory in net with a 27 save performance.

The Cyclones made 99ers netminder Frank Boal face 42 shots in the loss. Both of the 99ers goals were courtesy of Ben Sheppard.

Cambridge 4 Kitchener 1

The Cambridge Winterhawks got goals from four different players enroute to a 4-1 win over Kitchener.

Devyn Orpana, Matthew Chard, Jacob Coulson and Ben McFarlane also scored in the win. The Winterhawks were 2-6 with the man-advantage.

St. Marys 5 Strathroy 1

Quinton Pepper scored back-to-back goals less than three minutes apart in the first period and the St Marys Lincolns defeated Strathroy 5-1.

Brett Whitehead and Joe Mazur scored power play goals in the second period to give the Lincolns a 4-0 lead heading into the third.

Emmet Pierce spoiled Justin Richer's shut out bid, putting the Rockets on the board in the opening minute of the third.

Whitehead scored his second of the game, again on the power play less than six minutes into the final frame.

The Lincolns were 3-5 on the power play.
