Union Gas makes donation toward new carbon monoxide alarms

Union Gas has made a donation to the Township of Perth East.

At the Perth East Fire Department's Sebringville station on Tuesday, Union Gas representatives presented a cheque for $1,000 to the township to go toward the purchase of new carbon monoxide alarms.

Perth East and West Fire Chief Bill Hunter and Perth East Mayor Bob McMillan were on hand to accept the donation.

The township and fire department will distribute the alarms throughout the community.

The Township of Perth East’s Fire Department has been ensuring the safety of the community through the Carbon Monoxide Program since October 2014.
