A grant from the Huron Heritage Fund has allowed the Municipality of Bluewater to create three new walking tours and two new driving tours this summer.
Community Development Coordinator Karen Rickers explains they each have unique themes specific to the community.
"We have done three walking tours, one of Hensall, one of Zurich and one of Bayfield and two driving tours, one of Hay Township and one of Stanley Township. And they each have unique themes, for example, the theme in Zurich is Cradle to Grave and we've looked at a lot of the churches, the history of the convent in the area," she says.
All five are available on the explorebeyondtheshore.ca website and can be downloaded to a smartphone and tablet and be your guide as you walk or drive on the tour.
Rickers says they can also be printed out for people who would rather do it that way.
