'Walk A Mile In Her Shoes' Event An Annual Success

Another successful event was hosted by Women's House Serving Bruce and Grey at the end of May.

The annual "Walk A Day In Her Shoes" event drew over 50 male participants donning the red high heels to help raise awareness for gender violence. The walk, which took place on May 27, began at the Queen’s Bar and Grill and took the men on a one-mile walk down Port Elgin’s main street. The Kincardine Scottish Pipers led the way.

Women's House confirmed that so far, the annual walk has raised over $22,000 to date, with more donations pouring in.
