The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority is putting a new planning group together.
That group will include municipal, county and conservation authority staff. They will be asked for recommendations to the board on development guidelines for the Shoreline Management Plan.
Program Supervisor Geoff Cade says whatever the planning group comes up with will come back to the conservation authority's board for consideration.
Cade says they hope to get that done in time to hold the public consultation period in August, when summer residents are still in the area.
"The intent is to get together and look at what the authority does with regard to existing policy, what the provincial policy says and come up with some recommendations for the board on updated development guidelines for the Shoreline Management Plan," says Cade.
