GOJHL Wrap: Cyclones Win and Sugar Kings Stun Siskins

Listowel 2 Stratford 1

Caleb Warren scored the game winner less than two minutes into the third as Listowel beat Stratford 2-1.

Graham Brulotte opened the scoring for the Warriors at 13:26 of the first. Brady Anderson replied for the Cyclones with less than a minute and a half left in the game.

Max Wright made 27 saves in the win. Ruan Badenhorst took the loss, stopping 22 shots.

Elmira 4 Waterloo 2

Elmira scored four times in the third period and rallied from a two goal deficit to beat Waterloo 4-2.

Marcell Berube got things started at 2:11 of the final frame. Braydon Munn scored the equalizer on the power play at 7:18. Ethan Skinner got the go-ahead goal with less than four minutes left in regulation and Ty Biles added insurance with an unassisted goal on an empty Siskins net with 14 seconds remaining.

Ryan Takamatsu earned two points in the win with a pair of assists.

Matthew Prucha put the Siskins on the board midway through the first and Carter Tresoor made it 2-0 Waterloo with an unassisted goal in the latter half of the second.

Tyler Mazzocato stopped 21 shots in the win. Brett Miller allowed all four Sugar Kings goals on 28 shots.

Chatham 5 St. Marys 2

Michael Andrews and Dalton Bancroft both scored and had an assist in a losing effort for the St. Marys Lincolns as they dropped a 5-2 decision to Chatham.

Josh Supryka led the Maroons with a pair of goals. Dane Johnstone had a goal and an assist in the win.

Lucas Patton earned the victory with 32 saves. Evan Morrison stopped 47 shots in a valiant effort for the Lincolns.
