Scheer Addresses Perth-Wellington Supporters

Federal Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer spoke Thursday night at Stratford's Army Navy and Air Force Veterans Banquet Hall, in a riding where he had the highest margin of victory in Ontario during the leadership race.

Scheer discussed the federal Liberal Party's inability to present a united front at North American Free Trade Agreement negotiations, accusing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of being late when it came to presenting a list of demands.

Scheer feels buyer's remorse is setting in across the country, and Ontario isn't the only province feeling the pinch due to federal spending. He stated that those who voted for the Liberal Party in 2015 aren't receiving what they voted for.

The MP for Regina-Qu-Appelle and the youngest Speaker of the House in Canadian history spent close to an hour after his speech meeting one-on-one with local citizens, many of whom expressed happiness at the points discussed by the man they feel will become Canada's next prime minister after the next federal election.

Perth-Wellington MP John Nater noted how important it was for Scheer to appear in his riding, saying Scheer has a huge support base in the area.

Nater said the majority of Perth-Wellington constituents he's talked to lament the direction of the current NAFTA renegotiations, as well as the ongoing tax issues surrounding the federal Liberal Party.
