Waterloo Beats Kitchener in Double Overtime

Justin McCombs scored just under a minute into the second overtime to give the Waterloo Siskins a 3-2 win over Kitchener.

Waterloo led 2-0 after the second period thanks to a power play goal by Alex Potter and another goal by Justin Zuber less than 30 seconds later.

Kitchener's Austin Gaboury put the Dutchmen on the board just 32 seconds into the third with an unassisted, short handed goal. David Kiss scored the equalizer at 6:52 of the middle frame, assisted by Sean Kawalec and Ben Morris.

Brett Miller earned the win in net for the Siskins with 40 saves. Riley Daniels stopped 36 shots for the Dutchmen.

The Siskins are in third place in the GOJHL's Midwestern Conference with 15 points and one more win than Guelph. Kitchener is in sixth place with 12 points.
