Voting For Kraft Heinz Contest Well Underway For Goderich

The spokesperson for Goderich's entry in the Kraft Heinz Project Play contest says voting is fast and furious this morning at the Maitland Recreation Centre.

Steve Hewitt says there are hockey schools going on all day at the Rec Centre and Microage Basics has set up a bank of touch screens that allow people to sit down and vote as often as they want to. Hewitt says people that can't get to a screen are voting on their cell phones. He adds there are also computers available for voting at the Zehrs supermarket. At stake is 250-thousand dollars to go towards upgrades to the recreational facilities at Agricultural Park.

Goderich is competing against Bible Hill, Nova Scotia, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Brandon, Manitoba and Hewitt says there's no way of knowing how voting is going for the other three contestants so it's important to keep voting right till the deadline at 11:59 tonight. The winner will be announced around 8:30 next Saturday night.

“We will be having a party here at the Maitland Rec Centre, next Saturday. The reveal will be around 8:30 so we're going to kinda conjugate when the Flyers start playing at 7:30 and then we'll be watching eagerly to see which name comes up on the board.”
