Clinton's Dan Wildfong's CHL Jersey Retired by Mudbugs

The North American Hockey League's Shreveport Mudbugs are retiring the jersey of former player and Clinton native Dan Wildfong. During his eight seasons with the Mudbugs, Wildfong earned an average of a point per game.

After he hung up his skates after the 2006-07 season, Wildfong joined the Texas Brahmas as head coach, leading the team to a Central Hockey League championship title in just his second season behind the bench.

When the team joined the North American Hockey League in 2013-14, Wildfong stayed on as head coach, leading the team to it's first NAHL title last season.

Wildfong's Mudbugs jersey will be retried on September 15th when the Mudbugs host the Brahmas in Shreveport, Louisiana. Puck drops at 7:11 p.m. and the retirement ceremony will be before the National Anthem.
