Members of the Goderich to Guelph Trail committee are reporting steady progress.
Spokesperson Paul Vandermolen says they have constructed one bridge in Walton and another in Perth County, and gating and surfacing is being done.
There are a few detours but the trail is open. Vandermolen recommends people go to the G2G web site to see where the obstacles are, and how to get around them.
He has also asked Huron County staff to look over the recently announced Ontario Municipal Cycling Program to see if there are any funding opportunities there for the G2G Trail.
The date for the final phase of the trail will depend on the availability of grants.
