Trillium Mutual Insurance Contributing $150K

The three remaining Wednesdays in June will mark significant events for Trillium Mutual Insurance.

The company is celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday by contributing a total of $150,000 to local and regional projects.

On Wednesday, Trillium Mutual will make a donation of $10,000 each to the United Way Bruce-Grey, United Way Perth-Huron, and United Way Guelph-Wellington-Dufferin.

Celebrations will continue on June 21 when Trillium will dedicate a tree in the Legacy Garden at their home office in Listowel, to symbolize the importance of being leaders in preserving Canada’s natural resources.

On June 28, Trillium Mutual will announce a commitment of $120,000 to the University of Guelph.  It will be a perpetual legacy, awarded annually to assist students entering their first year at the Ontario Agriculture College, and intending to pursue a career in the agricultural industry.

"We are proud to recognize Canada’s 150th by supporting individuals and communities that represent the fabric of this great nation," says President and CEO Joe Dietrich. "It’s what we do every day, as a member owned mutual we’re community, not corporate.  It’s exciting to be part of an organization that cares about yesterday, today and tomorrow with a strong sense of responsibility and stewardship."
