Wellington North council has set aside 44 sewage units for a new 96-bed long term care facility in Mount Forest.
Known as Strathcona Village Homes, the facility will be built across from the Louise Marshall Hospital.
Mayor Andy Lennox says the development is good news for Mount Forest which is fortunate to have the excess sewage capacity to handle the long term care facility.
