The Warriors and Hurricanes Suffer Losses in the GOJHL

Brantford 4 Stratford 1

The Stratford Warriors suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Brantford 99ers.

Mike Finger put Brantford on the board just 21 seconds into the game and Kyle West made it 2-0 on the power play at 15:23.

Kameron Shearer scored the Warriors only goal at 15:38 of the second assisted by Anthony Kotsovos and Dylan Lebold.

Derek Seguin added insurance for Brantford with an unassisted goal at 2:43 of the third and Finger padded the 99ers lead with an empty netter at 18:25.

Stratford was 0-3 on the power play and Brantford was 1-4.

Finger led the 99ers offence with two goals and an assist.

Kyle West had a goal and an assist and Kyle Walkert set up two of the 99ers goals.

Evan Reinhart earned the win with a 36 save performance. Rock Boynton stopped 28 shots for the Warriors.

Brampton 7 Guelph 3

Brampton jumped out to an early 4 goal lead and held on to beat Guelph 7-3.

Dante Sheriff had a hat trick and and two assists for the Bombers. Rico Rossi also scored a hat trick and set up another.

Chris Poletek led the Hurricanes with a pair of goals. Anthony Mota also scored.

Jake Fleming earned the win with 23 saves. Jacob Hutchings stopped 19 of 23 shots before being replaced by Nick Redman who allowed two goals on 20 shots in relief.
