Cyclones Fall to Dutchmen; Lincolns Defeat Predators

The Listowel Cyclones fell behind by three goals after the first period and couldn't recover as they lost 6-4 to Kitchener.

Brady Anderson had a pair of goals for the Cyclones and Mitch Deelstra had two assists in the loss.

Jakob Lee and Caleb Warren also scored for the Cyclones.

The Dutchmen were led by Adam Kawalec with a goal and two assists. Brendan Valko and Ben Morris both scored twice for Kitchener.

The Cyclones' Brock Baier was pulled after allowing three goals on 12 shots in the opening frame. Justin Hergott stopped 10 shots in relief.

Jackson McIntosh made 33 saves for the Dutchmen to earn the win.

The Cyclones are back in action Friday night when they host the Waterloo Siskins.

St Marys 6 Lambton Shores 3

The St. Marys Lincolns scored three unanswered goals in the first en route to a 6-3 win over the lowly Lambton Shores Predators.

Alessio Luciani got things started with an unasssited goal less than four minutes into the game. Kaleb Pearson scored on the power play about ten minutes later and Kenny Chisholm extended the Lincolns lead at 15:29 of the opening frame.

Lambton Shores scored twice in the second and Marcel Berube briefly tied he game for the Predators with a goal just 23 seconds into the third. Colin Capstick put the Lincolns ahead again a minute and a half later and Bill Moskal added insurance with 2:06 remaining in regulation. Brody Smith scored the Lincolns final goal at 18:40 of the final frame.

Jordan Kooy stopped 41 shots to earn the win. Tynan Laurziere made 33 saves for Lambton Shores.

The Lincolns are back in action tomorrow night when they visit the Leamington Flyers.
