Brockton To Hold Community Well-Being Special Meeting

Brockton Council held last night’s meeting at the Elmwood Community Centre.

After it adjourned, Mayor David Inglis commented on the upcoming community well-being fund meeting.

“We’re going to be reviewing applications by groups in Brockton who want to apply for this fund. The fund was established through the Nuclear Waste Management organization.”

The $400,000 fund was given to each of the 8 municipalities being considered for hosting the high-level nuclear waste DGR, and even though Brockton is now out of that process, they still receive the money, and can now take applications on how to spend it.

The meeting is on September 19th at 4 pm at Brockton Council chambers in Walkerton.
