Huron County Group Looks To Tell Unique Stories

A group of young history professionals is looking for local storytellers with an artistic bent.

The group is called Staging Our Histories, and they’re specifically looking for people with stories about Huron County, but can also suggest a unique way of telling that story through song, or dance or film or poetry, or any other medium they choose.

Co-director Sinead Cox says a similar production at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa was very well received, and now they’d like to bring it home to Huron County under the banner of Unharvested Histories. Cox says┬áthe stories should either have happened in Huron County or speak to communities in Huron County.

Anyone with stories and a proposal for how they’d like to tell their story should submit them to by Monday.
