'Muddy Grape' Raises Thousands For Special Olympics

The first Muddy Grape Endurance Run raised more than $34,000 to support Special Olympics athletes competing in the Ontario Spring Games.

The endurance run was hosted by the Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run over the weekend.

In a release, Wellington OPP say "more than 300 competitors took part in the 5 km course featuring military inspired obstacles, water hazards and some unexpected muddy experiences."

More than 650 Special Olympics athletes will compete in the Ontario Spring Games at Cox Creek Winery in Guelph at the end of this month.
