Brockton To Conduct Waste Water Treatment Facility Study

An efficiency study is being planned for Brockton’s Waste Water Treatment Plant.

Director of Operations Colin Saunders says there are several things they hope to accomplish.

“We are looking at different improvements, such as disposing of bio-organic waste, generating electricity off gases, a new digester roof, and just overall optimization of the plant as far as infrastructure,” he says.

Saunders notes that despite wanting to look for improvements, upgrades, and cost savings, the municipality is pleased with how the plant is operating.

“Very satisfied, it far exceeds any standards that need to be met, we just want to look at improvement. That includes all those options I spoke about and adding some new lines, as well,” he says.
