Grey County OPP have arrested two males in connection with a recent Meaford robbery.
On April 23, two men entered the home of an 88-year-old man and his 82-year-old wife, and demanded cash and valuables.
After an extensive search and investigation, 19-year-old Raymond Wilfred "Kevin" Paige-Macneil of the Municipality of Meaford is charged with:
- Break and enter to commit robbery - Robbery with weapon - Robbery with violence - Disguise with intent - Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose - Possession of stolen property over $5,000
40-year-old Shane Mitchell Cupskey, also of the Municipality of Meaford, is charged with:
- Break and enter to commit robbery - Robbery with weapon - Robbery with violence - Disguise with intent - Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose - Possession of stolen property over $5,000 - Breach of recognizance
Both remain in custody and have bail hearings scheduled on April 28 and April 29. The stolen jewelery has not been recovered, but neither homeowner was harmed.
