Mitchell Hawks Goalie Baier Drafted To OHL Windsor

Mitchell Hawks goalie Brock Baier can now call himself a proud member of the OHL fraternity.

Baier was selected with the 1st pick in the 10th round of the OHL Priority Selection Draft on Saturday by the Windsor Spitfires. Baier says he's extremely excited to be picked by the team.

"I'm on cloud nine right now, I can't thank the Windsor Spitfires enough for picking me, and also the Mitchell Hawks for helping me develop and become a better player."

Brock was asked if he models his game after anyone in particular. He didn't hesitate to answer.

"Washington Capitals goalie Braden Holtby for sure, that guy is one of a kind. He worked his tail off to get to where he is and brings it every night, he's so focused on what he needs to do, and he's definitely what motivates me to do the same."

Baier was a rock in the crease for the Mitchell Hawks this year in the Western Junior C season, posting a winning record of 15-8-4, with a 3.13 GAA and .910 save percentage.
