Wheelie Bin Pilot Project In Hensall

The village of Hensall is going to try wheelie bins for garbage pick up.

Hensall ward Councillor Marnie Hill has always felt wheelie bins were a good choice, and the majority of people she talked to in the village agreed with her.

She represents Bluewater council on the Bluewater Recycling Association board, and other councillors there tell the same story as her parents did when the wheelie bins came to Clinton -- they didn't like making the change, but once they had them for a while, they thought they were great.

The other wards in Bluewater have decided against wheelie bins at this time, so Hensall will be the pilot project.

Hill says there is a small cost for the wheelie bins, but the price comes down as more municipalities join the program.
