Bruce County staff received an award for their efforts at the Ontario Good Roads Association Conference in Toronto.
The award was given out on Tuesday, February 23, as the Bruce County staff were recognized and awarded the John Niedra Better Practices Award for the Innovative Management Practice category.
Warden Mitch Twolan congratulated the team, saying that, "This award is highly coveted and our team are to be commended. They identified a problem and proactively worked together to solve it."
The Ontario Good Roads Association (OGRA) holds a yearly competition to recognize innovations and achievements which improve the efficiency of municipal transportation, public works services and operations. The John Niedra Better Practices award recognizes the ingenuity of municipal employees.
