Brochu backstops Knights to another win, sets OHL rookie record

The London Knights defeated the Oshawa Generals 3-1 during Sunday night OHL action.

Liam Foudy put the Knights on the board first, scoring a goal 14:38 into the first period. The Generals tied the game at 1 in the second period.

Connor McMichael and Matvey Guskov added two more goals for the Knights by the end of third to cap off their win. Brett Brochu was in net for the Knights and saved 24 of 25 the shots he faced to earn his 32nd win of the season. That mark sets a new OHL record for most wins by a rookie goaltender.

The Knights out-shot the Generals 36-25.

The Knights will be at home Friday to play the Flint Firebirds.
